Class - Show Theme - Step Up: Lend a Hand

Limit of two entries per class

All exhibits must be bubble wrapped and clearly marked with Artists name and category on outside ofwrap

Framed or photo frame or blocked canvas

All art work must be able to be hung, and have a wire/strong cord on the back in order to be able to be hung . Small hangers (often on commercial frames) and plain mountboards do not hang well on the Show hooks.

Any original work not exhibited previously at the Narrogin Agricultural show

Sole work of artist (Artist’s name, contact number & title must be on back of artwork as well as bubblewrap) –

If artwork is for sale, pl ease note that there will be a commission fee charged at 10%

If artwork is named the name will be covered at time of judging

The steward/s reserves the right to refuse any exhibit and a letter will be sent as explanation

Evaluation of the artist’s technical skills, including drawing, painting, blending, brushwork, etc.

Assessment of the artist’s ability to accurately depict proportions, perspective, and scale within the artwork.

How effectively the artist uses and manipulates the chosen medium (e.g., oil, acrylic, watercolour, charcoal, etc.) to its full advantage.

Assessment of the artist’s handling of light, shading, and shadows to create depth and dimension in the artwork.

Is it clear and obvious where the light source is coming from? How well the artist conveys the direction and intensity of light.

Evaluation of the artist’s innovative approach, unique style, and original interpretation of the subject matter.

Assessment of how well elements such as line, shape, colour, texture, and space are arranged to create a harmonious and visually pleasing composition.

Evaluation of the artist’s use of colour tones, hues, and values to create depth, mood, and atmosphere in the artwork.

Assessment of the overall presentation of the artwork, including cleanliness, neatness, and professionalism of the display.

Evaluation of the frame’s condition, suitability for the artwork, and how well it enhances the overall presentation.
